To run the gateway program it requires .Net Framework 2.0. Although you don't need to know if the program is installed on your machine. The file will advise if the program is not installed.
Software Installation
Download the file from http://go6.net/4105/download.asp, and select the Gateway6 Client 5.1 Windows Installer 32-bit. Once downloaded the icon will appear on the desktop.
Double-click the executable file it will prompt with a message to install .Net Frameworks 2.0, if the computer has this installed then go to the next step. Otherwise install .Net Frameworks 2.0
Once .Net Frameworks 2.0 has been installed. Double-click the executable to start the installation again. This will then prompt up with an installation wizard. Select the modules that you wish to install. Then select "Next"
The next screen will ask you where the application should be installed to. Select a location and then press "Next".
This will start the installation process. To view what is being installed select the "Show Details" button. Below is what will show when the program is being installed.
During the installation process a box will pop up. Select "Continue Anyway" for the software to be installed.
Once the installation has been completed, you can view the README file and Launch the Gateway Client Utility.
Open the program and it should look like the picture below. Also select "Connect using the following Credentials".
Enter in the details with the Gateway6 address in as sixgw.internode.on.net. Enter in your Internode username and password. Then hit connect.
When connect has been pressed a box will display advising that "Changes to the configuration have not been saved. Do you wish to save the configuration before connecting". Click "Yes" to continue.
When the Gateway is connected it should look like the image below.
Open command prompt in Windows XP, click "Start", then "Run", in the "Run" box then type "cmd" and press "Ok", or hit enter. In Windows Vista it's a bit different. Click "Start", then just above start there is a search. Click in the search above and then type "cmd". Type ipconfig and then hit enter.
To confirm that the service is working over IPv6. Type ping6 www.ipv6.org and then hit enter.
