The IPv6 Broadband Trial allows Internode customers to test and gain experience with IPv6 using their existing Internode ADSL service.
Once IPv6 has been enabled customers are presented with a dual-stack configuration (each session has an IPv4 and an IPv6 address) so customers will have native access to both the IPv4 and IPv6 Internet.
This is a trial to test and exercise our systems and provide experience for both Internode and our customers with IPv6. There will be aspects to this trial which are a bit rough around the edges, so please don't use this for critical business needs. Please do not use the Broadband Trial unless you intend to actively participate and provide feedback.
In order to participate in the broadband trial you will need a good technical understanding of IPv6 and a router that supports IPv6 PPP and Prefix Delegation via DHCPv6.
Please note: very few consumer Access Device routers currently on the market in Australia support IPv6. Internode currently recommends using a Cisco router (e.g. 877) running IOS 12.4 or above, or an ADSL Access Device in bridge mode and a Desktop computer which supports IPv6 over PPPoE.
If you are an ADSL2+ Access Device vendor with a native IPv6 protocol stack, we want to hear from you - and we would invite you to test your Access Device against our trial service. You can contact us via email to ipv6-feedback@internode.com.au
